We've been extremely busy lately, implementing several exciting new features on Land Surveyors United.

Updated Land Surveyors United Member Map
Today the official LSU member map has been updated including all of our new members.  This new version also includes information related to specific member's specialities and type of work they do in their part of the world.  MEMBERS: Be sure to click on your placemark and if it is not positioned accurately, simple send me a note to LSU HQ or correct the location in your profile information and it will be moved on next update.

New State based Social Support Groups in US
A new thing that we are trying by popular request is state based social support groups, starting with the United States.  Coming soon will be customized RSS feeds based on land surveying related news for each state.  Be sure to join the group that represents your state, if you live in the United States.  The goal is to have all of your regional news and discussions in one place so that you can spend less time looking for updates and news and more time on your work.

Topcon reference station network equipment selected for China's Anhui Province RTK network

Topcon Positioning Systems (TPS) has been selected to supply GNSS (Global Navigation Satellite Systems) receivers and software for Anhui Province Continuously Operating Reference Station Network (AHCORS).

Julie McDonald, PE, PLS, a Geomatics office manager with McKim & Creed in Charlotte, has been appointed vice chair of the International Right of Way Association’s Surveying and Engineering Committee.
